After studying fine art in England, I turned to ceramics, creating one-off pieces using the wheel and coil technique.
My ceramics are first decorated with imprints left by my working tools, then covered with glazes with sometimes-unpredictable properties, leaving different traces and shades of colours. Inspired by ancient techniques, I create my glazes using wood ashes (oak, eucalyptus, vine, cherry) collected from around the village.
I am based in La Garde-Freinet, a small village above the Gulf of Saint Tropez.
