Fascinated by the process of glazing with ashes, I mix ashes and oxides with curiosity and experimentation. It's a very interesting process, as it brings me closer to the natural world, as it evolves with the seasons. It's an experimental way of working that allows me to shed light on the surrounding environment and explore it through its organic matter.

This research into ash-based glazes is slowly leading me towards an exploration of different firing methods, such as smoking or wood firing, which is becoming a new playground for future projects.

After 15 years in England, I moved back to the Var. Since 2021 I have been a ceramist in la Garde-Freinet. I've been working l’Écrin, a workshop-gallery in the centre of the village.

The decorative objects I offer in black, brown or white chamotte stoneware are mainly coil-mounted. This technique, which consists in mounting small clay coils one on top of the other, allows me a wide range of possibilities in terms of shapes, volumes and final appearance. The ultimate aesthetic shows a sculptural shaping brought about with care by the tools I use: comb, router, mirette. In an organic way, the marks left by the utensils bring a certain vibration and relief that structure the forms. The resulting indentations also form reserves in which the glaze nestles, creating nuances of depth and intensity of colour.
